Visiting Us

SaltSpace occupies two premises, one second floor unit at Axiom Building 54 Washington Street, Glasgow, G3 8AZ which hosts our gallery and studios. Our second premises is located at Dornoch St Studios, Unit 16, 30 Dornoch Street, Glasgow G40 2QT in the East End of Glasgow which hosts eight studios.

  • The nearest train station to Axiom Building is Anderston, and the nearest to Dornoch St. is Bridgerton. 

  • All vehicles used by Glasgow Taxis are wheelchair accessible, please call 0141 429 7070 to book.

  • There are two car Parks for Axiom one located straight across the road at 53 Washington Street and the second at 88 Washington St.

  • There is free onsite car parking at Dornoch Street Studios.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to visit us, and to attend our events. If you feel that you might need some additional help, please get in touch in advance at saltspacecoop@gmail.com or ask a member of SaltSpace on arrival. 

Axiom Building: Floor 2, 54 Washington St. G38AZ

  • Before locating our SaltSpace unit at Axiom, the main door has three steps up.

  • There is one non-automatic code operated door, opening inwards at the entrance. The door is closed and locked to the street. 

  • The space is then located on the second floor with no lift. The floor is hard level concrete. 

  • The space is well-lit with natural daylight, & overhead bulb lighting. 

  • We do not currently have a hearing loop available. Noise levels vary throughout the space from other businesses.

  • We welcome trained assistance dogs. If your assistance dog needs a break, ask us for a bowl of water. 

  • Circulation space is at least 120cm / 47 inches wide in most places.

  • At present, we have no accessible toilets, but we are in the process of seeking funding to provide these.

  • Removable tables and seats, wheelchair spaces can be created with advance notice.

Dornoch Street Studios: Unit 16 30 Dornoch Street, Glasgow G40 2QT.

  • The main door is at ground floor level with an accessible ramp up.

  • The main door is non-automatic, opening outwards at the entrance. The door is usually closed to the street. 

  • The space inside is level, wheelchair accessible.

  • There is a wheelchair accessible lift, our space is located on the first floor.

  • Before this there are double doors able to open for wheelchair access.

  • Space is well-lit with natural daylight, & overhead bulb lighting. 

  • Noise levels vary throughout the space as a working artist studio. There is background from other studios occasionally.

  • We welcome trained assistance dogs. If your assistance dog needs a break, ask us for a bowl of water.

  • Circulation space is at least 120cm / 47 inches wide, with removable tables and seats, wheelchair spaces can be created with advance notice.

  • At present, we have no accessible toilets, but we are in the process of seeking funding to provide these.
