SaltSpace Gallery is in the Axiom Building, situated in central Glasgow along the River Clyde, a five minute walk from Anderston train station and a 10 minute walk from Central Station.
We welcome proposals from artists working in any discipline and can apply as an individual or a group for an exhibition, workshop or community/creative event. We have designated call outs throughout the year where the committee will programme the gallery. Submissions are open to SaltSpace members, become a member here.

The gallery can be hired for £35 per day on weekdays and £50 per day on weekends (Saturday/Sunday). Workshop/event hire has a minimum of one day hire, exhibitions have a minimum of 3 day hire (including install/deinstall days). Longer hires are at a discounted rate - after a full price 7 days, each additional day will be reduced to £25.
This fee is donated straight back into the Co-operative to aid in its continual operation and to pay for any overhead costs. Plus, a refundable deposit of £50 given the space is returned to an adequate enough condition after your show.

Renting with us

SaltSpace Cooperative facilitate a gallery space for members to use and gain experience. As a small committee we cannot offer curatorial support since we are not a large operational company or gallery but a non-profit. However, the core ideas behind SaltSpace is for emerging artists to gain a valuable learning experience. When renting the space it is the responsibility of members to install, organise the opening night and invigilate the run of the exhibition. We have a small amount of equipment including a media player, TV monitor and a storage of install tools.
SaltSpace will support you with marketing and promotion of your exhibition. For workshops and events we have 3 tables and roughly 10 chairs available, if anything further is required that would be the responsibility of the hirer to provide it. Right next to our gallery there is a communal kitchen and access toilet facilities.
